New logo, new look!
Just two days ago I saw a Youtube video about logos, it's called "What makes a truly great logo" by Vox. They talked about the different types of logos, what they do and also touched on the attributes of good logos.
I got a little thinky about it (like the usual me) and sat down with a pen and paper and sketched anything that was on my mind in hopes to ignite some sort of inspiration. I started out with a drawing of a feather. No it was not one of those pretty ones nor was it some fantastic work.... It was something a one-year old could draw easily. It's hard to describe, let me just show it to you.
That my friends was it.... well it does shape like a quill though. Fast forward a few more random sketches and I got the idea of super-imposing all three letters. So *poof* I got to the one shown in the first picture of this post. I even went to google logos to check if I accidentally copied somebody else's work, luckily I haven't found any.
I went on to search up ways to put up my new creation onto the header of the blog page (I know nuts about webpages and coding). Thanks to Southern Speakers, I quickly learnt how to go about doing it. Seriously, if you are going to do some adjustments to your blog and you don't know how, you definitely have to check out his blog, especially if you are running Blogger on Dynamic View like mine is. He did a wonderful job, really.
I am currently experimenting with different designs for the banner, I may change it every now and then to see if it fits.

Whats up are using Wordpress for your blog platform?
ReplyDeleteI'm new to the blog world but I'm trying to get started
and set up my own. Do you need any coding expertise to
make your own blog? Any help would be really appreciated!
Hi sorry for the late reply. I'm using Blogger but you can certainly check out Wordpress too. It's actually really simple to start a blog, many services like Wordpress and Blogger have templates that guides you along the creation process, no coding background is required. But if you want it to be unique, I recommend searching up for some html or CSS guides to further personalise your blog. Hope this helps!
