Mountain Climbers
MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS
Like a blanket we tried to cover,
But at times we still hover.
You chose sometimes to stick your toes out
And bask in the cold of the night and shout.
The minds of us an endless sea
All stuck throughout the guidance of thee.
Sailed the lands we did, fun we had,
But there are times for bed.
The night is coming, we see it long.
Yet I assure you, we belong.
So hold it there, hold it still
And do not quake while climbing that hill.
We shall meet you at the other side
After we, like you, turned the tides.
And after we flock our eyes will open.
The Everest of life we see no more
But a familiar hill we knew and adored.
Till the ends of the earth we shall scale,
Covered by our friendship's tale.
